About The Position

Reflexive Concepts is seeking a skilled Cloud System Architect II to join our team! Specifically, we are looking for a candidate with DevOps, Terraform, AWS, and Ansible experience. This role requires strong knowledge of cloud solutions including AWS, OpenStack, and Microsoft Azure products. The ideal candidate will work with little to no prescriptive guidance, demonstrate experience writing software scripts using languages such as Perl, Python, or Ruby, and provide Tier I/II support. Responsibilities include following established guidelines for delivery of cloud-based resources, providing support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of customer resources, and assisting users in accessing and utilizing cloud-based compute resources. The Cloud System Architect II will serve as the technical point of contact between the customer and the Architecture and Capacity Engineering teams, maintain currency of relevant documents, and update knowledge bases. The role also involves monitoring and responding to chat rooms, developing with a DevOps approach for both Linux and Windows workloads using cutting-edge cloud technologies including automation with Cloudformation, OpsWorks, Ansible, Chef, and Docker. The candidate must be able to deploy new cloud production, staging, and test environments and be responsible for all aspects of integration and deployment, including infrastructure and application deployment, load testing, and disaster recovery. Planning is crucial, with a focus on seamless transitions and minimal downtime. The role requires identifying the most agile, scalable infrastructure and selecting the best cloud services and technologies for customer projects, as well as planning all implementation procedures.

Requirements

  • 9 years of related work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field (or an additional four (4) years of relevant experience can be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree)
  • One active mid-level or advanced cloud certification (i.e. AWS, Azure, OpenStack)
  • Strong knowledge of cloud solutions included but not limited to AWS, OpenStack and Microsoft Azure products
  • Must work with little to no prescriptive guidance
  • Demonstrated experience writing software scripts using languages such as Perl, Python, or Ruby
  • DevOps experience
  • Terraform experience
  • AWS experience
  • Ansible experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier I/II support.
  • Follow established guidelines for delivery of cloud based resources
  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of customer resources
  • Provide assistance to users in accessing and utilizing cloud based compute resources
  • Serve as the technical point of contact between the customer and the Architecture and Capacity Engineering teams
  • Maintain currency of relevant documents and update the Wiki and SharePoint knowledge bases
