About The Position

Join the MS Department of Archives & History as a Cloud Specialist and play a pivotal role in modernizing and securing mission-critical systems. You will architect and optimize cloud platforms, drive cloud migrations, and ensure compliance—all within a collaborative, onsite environment. Requirements

Proficiency with major public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Experience with automation and scripting using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Strong knowledge of cloud networking, virtual private clouds (VPCs), and firewalls.
Advanced experience in VM management, Windows Server/Active Directory, and Linux administration.
1–10 years of relevant cloud technology experience.

Nice To Haves

5–6+ years of hands-on experience specifically with AWS or Azure.
Prior experience in government or regulated industries.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and enhance scalable architecture for IAAS and PAAS platforms.
Ensure cloud environments meet stringent security and compliance standards for data protection and privacy.
Execute safe migrations of on-premises applications, workloads, and databases to public cloud platforms.
Proactively monitor and analyze cloud infrastructure to identify and resolve issues swiftly.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud environments for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
Implement controls and audit processes using available cloud audit tools.
Stay current with evolving cloud technologies and best practices.
