About The Position

Peraton seeks a Cloud Solutions Engineer SME to provide technical systems and network engineering software development support to the Army's Big Data Platform (BDP), Gabriel Nimbus (GN). This role involves interfacing with and supporting Army Cyber Command (ARCYBER)’s Technical Warfare Center (TWC) to develop and implement concepts and requirements for full-spectrum Cyberspace operations. The position requires cloud architecture and planning for the GN Big Data Platform (BDP), iterating with customers on requirements, and managing user/customer (data scientists) access. A key responsibility is establishing and maintaining a containerized environment with an entry mechanism, notebook environment (like JupyterHub), script server, and persistence using AWS S3.

Requirements

• Minimum of 16 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 14 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 10 years with Ph.D; 20 years with HS diploma
• Experience in DevSecOps, IAC, K8S/Docker, AWS EC2/S3/IAM, networking, routing
• Working knowledge of POSIX Shell, BASH, Python
• Requires the knowledge and experience to build an environment that consists of several VMs on AWS.
• Requires the ability to maintain the network route and programmatically switch for different data scraping tasks.
• Active TS/SCI with a Polygraph or the ability to obtain Polygraph and MEAD clearance.
• U.S Citizenship required.
