Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
  • 12+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and systems engineering.
  • 7+ years of deep expertise in specialized cloud areas (e.g., cloud security, serverless architecture, or large-scale data migrations).
  • Recognized authority in cloud technology with a track record of solving complex enterprise problems.
  • Active security clearance (Secret or Top Secret)

  • Preferred Certifications
  • Federal & Security: CISSP and CCSP.
  • Domain-Specific: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional and AWS Certified Security – Specialty.
  • Architecture/Management: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
  • Expertise in multi-cloud environments (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government).
  • Advanced scripting and automation: Python, Go, Terraform, Ansible.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud-native security tools and third-party security integrations.
  • Specialized knowledge of container orchestration at scale (EKS, AKS, OpenShift).
  • Demonstrated expertise in applying FedRAMP High, DoD IL5/IL6, and FISMA High requirements.
  • Technical implementation of NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Experience with secure data handling in classified (SIPR/JWICS) environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert-level technical guidance on the adoption of emerging cloud technologies within federal frameworks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve high-priority, complex technical issues impacting mission-critical systems.
  • Serve as the primary technical advisor during agency-level architecture reviews and cloud strategy sessions.
  • Technical implementation of advanced automation scripts and custom monitoring solutions for high-security environments.
  • Analyze existing cloud architectures for security gaps and recommend remediation steps aligned with NIST and Zero Trust standards.
  • Mentor senior engineers and architects on advanced cloud service configurations and best practices.
  • Support the federal Authority to Operate (ATO) process by providing deep technical evidence for control compliance.
