About The Position

CACI is seeking a Cloud Software Quality Engineer to join their Fusion Analysis & Decision Effort (FADE) team. The role involves working as a software tester for a complex and evolving system with a growing user base. The engineer will be part of a collaborative agile software engineering team, contributing ideas, designing and implementing automated tests, investigating operational issues, and working with team members and end users to ensure the software meets user needs. The FADE team develops capabilities to advance intelligence analysis and warfighter support, empowering analysts to manage and fuse data from multiple intelligence sources for national security missions. The software platform is developed and deployed on AWS cloud environments and edge devices.

Requirements

  • Current Top Secret SCI clearance, polygraph preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Software Tester or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies (manual and automated).
  • Familiarity with deployment environments and processes.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with specific tools (e.g., JIRA, Gitlab, Kubernetes, Docker, Swagger).
  • Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, Java).
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with FADE software applications.
  • Proficiency in using testing tools and frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy FADE software to multiple different environments for testing purposes.
  • Conduct manual testing of the software to identify bugs and issues.
  • Create automated tests for new and existing capabilities.
  • Ensure automated tests are executed prior to each delivery of the software to a production environment.
  • Collaborate with team members and end users to gather requirements and ensure the software meets user needs.
  • Investigate and resolve operational issues reported by users.
  • Contribute ideas and participate in agile software engineering activities.
  • Maintain and update test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Provide feedback on software design and implementation to improve quality.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of test environments.
  • Document testing processes and results.
