About The Position

VTG is looking for a Cloud professional in Chantilly, VA. (Note: Contingent upon program award). Cloud I provides entry‑level technical advisory support to government programs, assisting with oversight of cloud‑based software systems, documentation reviews, and compliance assessments in a SETA capacity. Cloud II provides independent technical advisory support, evaluating cloud‑based software solutions, architectures, and contractor performance to ensure mission alignment, security, and scalability. Cloud III serves as a trusted technical advisor to government leadership, providing strategic oversight and guidance across complex, cloud‑based software programs in a SETA role.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI with Poly Required
  • Cloud I: 1-4 years of experience supporting software or cloud‑based systems
  • Cloud I: Foundational understanding of cloud computing concepts and architectures
  • Cloud I: Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
  • Cloud I: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field
  • Cloud II: 5-9 years of experience supporting software‑intensive or cloud‑based systems
  • Cloud II: Strong understanding of cloud architectures, shared responsibility models, and service offerings
  • Cloud II: Experience performing technical oversight of contractor cloud solutions
  • Cloud II: Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Cloud II: (one or more): AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ‑305 or equivalent), Google Professional Cloud Architect
  • Cloud II: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field
  • Cloud III: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
  • Cloud III: 10+ years of experience supporting software‑intensive or cloud‑centric programs
  • Cloud III: Deep understanding of enterprise cloud architectures and multi‑cloud environments
  • Cloud III: Proven experience providing technical oversight and advisory support (non‑developer role)
  • Cloud III: Strong leadership, briefing, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Cloud III: (one or more) AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect

Nice To Haves

  • Cloud I: Preferred Qualifications: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ‑900), Google Cloud Digital Leader
  • Cloud I: Preferred (DoD/IC): CompTIA Security+ (or ability to obtain)
  • Cloud II: Preferred Qualifications: CompTIA Security+ or higher, SAFe Agilist or Agile‑related certification
  • Cloud III: Preferred Qualifications: CISSP or CCSP, DoD 8570 / 8140 compliance certifications

Responsibilities

  • Cloud I: Support review of cloud‑based software architectures and design documentation
  • Cloud I: Assist with assessment of contractor cloud solutions for alignment with requirements and standards
  • Cloud I: Support analysis of cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) from an oversight perspective
  • Cloud I: Help maintain technical documentation, requirements traceability, and assessment artifacts
  • Cloud I: Participate in technical reviews, working groups, and cloud architecture discussions
  • Cloud I: Track cloud‑related risks, issues, and action items under senior guidance
  • Cloud I: Support coordination between government stakeholders and cloud service providers
  • Cloud II: Analyze and assess cloud‑based software architectures and design approaches
  • Cloud II: Review contractor cloud implementation plans, migration strategies, and technical deliverables
  • Cloud II: Evaluate compliance with cloud security, governance, and enterprise architecture standards
  • Cloud II: Advise program leadership on cloud tradeoffs, risks, and integration impacts
  • Cloud II: Support Agile and DevSecOps processes as a government technical advisor
  • Cloud II: Contribute to development of cloud technical guidance and evaluation criteria
  • Cloud II: Prepare cloud‑focused technical briefings and recommendations
  • Cloud III: Provide senior‑level advisory support on cloud architecture strategy and lifecycle management
  • Cloud III: Lead government reviews of contractor cloud designs, roadmaps, and modernization efforts
  • Cloud III: Advise leadership on cloud scalability, security, resiliency, and cost considerations
  • Cloud III: Support development of cloud governance frameworks, technical standards, and evaluation criteria
  • Cloud III: Participate in senior technical reviews, milestone events, and executive briefings
  • Cloud III: Assess alignment of cloud solutions with mission needs and enterprise cloud strategies
  • Cloud III: Mentor junior and mid‑level cloud software experts
  • Cloud III: Support acquisition and source selection activities with cloud technical expertise
