Software Engineer Expert
About The Position
Jovian Concepts, LLC is looking to hire a Software Engineer Expert Level for a great opportunity in Key West, FL. A current and active TS/SCI Clearance is required. The ideal candidate will be responsible for establishing application and system information requirements using analysis of the information engineer(s) in the development of enterprise-wide or large-scale information systems. They will perform the total mission application engineering function, including the design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of software programs for enhancements and new software-intensive systems and products. The role involves determining and identifying high-level functional and technical requirements based on interactions with the user community and knowledge of the enterprise architecture. The candidate will design mission application architecture to support total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces. They will identify, assess, and present options for meeting functional and technical requirements for applications and software updates or upgrades, and be responsible for developing high-level system design diagrams. Recommendations may be made for approval of major systems installations. The role includes assisting in defining, analyzing, documenting, and implementing new user interfaces and customer access features, and updating and maintaining specific rules for processing network event data. Additionally, the candidate will assist in providing software support for COTS applications as required to support network interoperability requirements and to improve system functionality and usability to support customer-owned applications. The role applies appropriate principles, standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the software development lifecycle. Duties include software requirements analysis, analysis of hardware compatibility, development of software products and tools used for design, development, and maintenance of infrastructure, and platforms. The position resolves highly complex and multi-dimensional problems requiring consideration of variables that impact multiple aspects of the project/program and leads the development of highly innovative products/solutions, achieved through collaboration and dialogue with other experts in the field.
Requirements
- TS with active SCI clearance is required.
- 15 years of relevant experience supporting IC or DoD programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Proficient with System and Software Engineering deliverable and documentation methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities
