About The Position

Wyetech is seeking an experienced Cloud Software Engineer – Level 3 to support the research, design, development, integration, and sustainment of complex cloud-based software solutions supporting mission-critical Intelligence Community operations. The selected candidate will develop and enhance scalable software systems that leverage distributed computing, cloud infrastructure, Big Data technologies, and advanced analytics. This position requires hands-on software engineering experience, strong knowledge of distributed data processing frameworks, and expertise in developing reliable, high-performance applications within UNIX/Linux and cloud environments. The ideal candidate possesses experience with Java, C/C++, Hadoop, HDFS, NoSQL databases, RESTful services, and cloud-based application development. Experience developing automated analytics, processing massive datasets, and integrating open-source technologies is highly desirable.

Requirements

Active TS/SCI security clearance with current Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) is required.
At least eight (8) years of experience in software development or engineering , including requirements analysis, development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis and resolution.
At least six (6) years of experience developing software using high-level programming languages , such as Java, C, or C++.
Demonstrated experience working with open-source NoSQL technologies supporting highly distributed and massively parallel computing, such as HBase, Accumulo, BigTable, or comparable platforms.
Demonstrated experience with the MapReduce programming model and technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, and Pig.
Experience working with the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS).
Experience with data serialization formats such as JSON and/or BSON.
Demonstrated experience developing RESTful services.
At least five (5) years of experience developing software for UNIX/Linux operating systems , including Red Hat environments.
Experience performing requirements analysis and designing at least one object-oriented software system.
Demonstrated experience developing solutions that integrate and extend FOSS/COTS products.
At least three (3) years of experience in software integration and testing , including developing and implementing test plans and test scripts.
Demonstrated technical writing skills, including preparing technical documentation for software development projects.
Hadoop/Cloud Developer Certification or comparable Cloud System/Service Certification.
Demonstrated experience in at least four (4) of the desired technical characteristics applicable to this labor category.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
United States Citizenship and position-appropriate security clearance are required.

Experience developing data-driven analytics, event-driven analytics, and analytic workflows orchestrated through rules engines.

Responsibilities

Research, design, develop, integrate, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance cloud-based software applications and services.
