About The Position

Intel is seeking a Cloud Software Development Engineer to design, develop, validate, and optimize software solutions for cloud, hybrid-cloud, and on-premises deployments. The role focuses on understanding partner software stacks and enabling full-stack optimization so Intel hardware features integrate seamlessly. The engineer will help improve Intel product value in the cloud domain, with opportunities to contribute to data services, AI/ML, and open-source development. The position is part of the Data Center Group's Cluster Software US team, which develops software frameworks, optimizes system performance, and enables Intel products for the evolving cloud and data center ecosystem. The work includes developing reference cloud platform software to enhance product value and support customer designs.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field and 1+ years of hands-on software development experience, which may be validated through academic projects, internships, coursework, or hands-on training; or a Master's degree with 0 years in a relevant field and no prior professional experience.
1+ years of experience working in a software product development team.
1+ years of working experience developing system software for Linux OS.
Strong programming skills in C/C++.
Hands-on Git and GitHub experience.
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and their associated development tools.
Understanding of software optimization techniques and debugging tools.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Golang, Python, Bash, or Shell scripting.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or Docker.
Knowledge of AI/ML frameworks and data analytics technologies.
Eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Understanding of graphics fundamentals, experience with Linux or Windows operating systems, and strong knowledge of system architecture.
Experience with Linux, modern C++ (C++17/C++20), Python, CMake, Docker, or Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and validate software solutions aligned with Intel hardware features and cloud deployment requirements.
Collaborate with partners to understand software stacks and optimize full-stack performance across firmware, drivers, operating systems, middleware, SDKs, frameworks, algorithms, and applications.
Participate in developing reference cloud platform software to enhance product value and support customer designs.
Contribute to data services, AI/ML, and open-source development projects.
Debug and troubleshoot software issues to ensure seamless functionality across Intel platforms.
Stay informed about industry trends and incorporate innovative approaches into development processes.
