About The Position

PNC is hiring a Cloud Security Engineer within its Technology organization. The role focuses on enabling cloud-native application protection platforms (CNAPPs), owning strategic vendor relationships, managing cloud security controls, and developing cloud security dashboards. The position is remote-eligible in select locations, subject to approval. Work must be performed from a quiet, secure, and confidential home workspace, and occasional in-office participation may be required based on business needs. The engineer works with technical-control owners and other partners to evaluate Cortex Cloud capabilities, facilitate testing in lower environments, build vendor support, and obtain enterprise architecture and governance approvals for capabilities that strengthen cloud security and reduce tool sprawl. The role owns relationships with Azure, AWS, and Palo Alto, including advocating for issue resolution and leading quarterly business reviews. The role is control owner for Cloud Security – ZEC018. It reviews control effectiveness, identifies needed changes or gaps, provides recurring attestation evidence, and works with the Cloud Security team to automate evidence collection where possible. The engineer also develops Microsoft PowerBI dashboard views showing Azure and AWS configuration violations, provides accurate information and usage statistics to stakeholders and senior leaders, and gathers customer requirements for the Cloud Security roadmap. More broadly, the position applies security expertise to design, build, implement, maintain, and support technology solutions. It translates architectural designs into implementation and integration details, evaluates patches and updates, documents engineering and configuration work, follows change-control and governance processes, supports production technology, and works with operational partners to enable day-to-day support.
