This is a Hybrid role in Austin, Texas. Position Summary Cloud Center of Excellence of Thales is currently seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to join the team in Austin, TX. This role may require onsite presence once restrictions have been lifted. You have a deep interest in Security for the Cloud? Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field with a minimum of 5-8+ years of relevant work experience or Master’s degree in related field with 4+ years of relevant work experience
  • 4+ years of experience building and architecting on Cloud-based Platforms.
  • 4+ years experience working on Cloud Provider AWS.
  • Experience working with Gitlab, Terraform and Kubernetes.
  • Experience in programming in Python.
  • Must have U.S. Citizenship to obtain the post-hire Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Clearance from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and must be able to obtain post-hire clearance from the Committee on Foreign Investments in the U.S. (CFIUS) and Department of Treasury

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating, designing, developing, creating proof of concept and implementing security-focused tools and services.
  • Supporting the company-defined cloud strategy.
  • Ensuring and advocating cloud security practices.
  • Driving engineering teams across all security practices.
  • Making sure about continuous Thales CDI Cloud improvements.
  • Identifying, raising and mitigating security weaknesses on Thales CDI Cloud infrastructure.
  • Operating security framework on Cloud environments.
