About The Position

We are currently recruiting a Cloud Platform Engineer (f/m/d) for our client, a fast-growing, early-stage startup building intelligent AI workflow automation solutions that function as "Zapier meets Palantir" for mid-market business operations. In this position, you will take full ownership of designing, building, and managing the Azure cloud infrastructure that powers their cutting-edge AI platform. Your scope covers everything from spearheading Kubernetes environments and CI/CD pipelines to driving overall system automation and collaborating closely with software and machine learning teams to seamlessly support AI workloads, optimize system costs, and establish rock-solid security practices. We are looking for a highly autonomous, proactive engineer with 2+ years of hands-on production experience in Cloud Engineering or DevOps, boasting strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, Infrastructure as Code, and Docker/Kubernetes, alongside excellent English communication skills.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of practical experience working as a DevOps, Cloud, Platform, or Site Reliability Engineer.
  • In-depth experience running production systems on Microsoft Azure, including sophisticated architecture, network setups, IAM, and security protocols.
  • Demonstrated capability in applying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts, particularly using Terraform or Bicep in live systems.
  • Sound expertise working with container technologies and orchestration, with a primary focus on Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Advanced knowledge of setting up and managing CI/CD workflows using systems like GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
  • Good fundamental knowledge of Linux systems, scripting languages, security best practices, and infrastructure monitoring.
  • A proven history of building and running cost-conscious, reliable, and highly scalable production setups.
  • Strong analytical mindset, a high degree of accountability, and excellent English skills suited for a fast-moving startup environment.

Responsibilities

  • Take complete technical charge of architecting, deploying, and supporting the Azure cloud environments that host the primary AI platform.
  • Design and oversee high-scale container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes to handle live application workloads.
  • Establish, deploy, and refine CI/CD automated pipelines to facilitate frictionless software delivery.
  • Lead automation efforts by implementing solid Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices with Terraform or Bicep.
  • Work in close partnership with software and ML engineering teams to smoothly integrate and scale complex AI processing jobs.
  • Define and maintain high standards for cloud security, network configuration, in-depth system monitoring, and platform stability.
  • Guarantee high availability, cost efficiency, and top performance of live systems to align with growing business requirements.

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary up to €95k + bonus and/or equity (negotiable based on experience)
  • High technical ownership with a direct impact on system architecture and engineering standards from day one
  • Direct collaboration with a top-tier team of AI and automation experts
  • A fully remote work setup providing a high degree of individual flexibility
  • Relocation and travel expenses will be fully covered
