RTX is seeking an experienced and motivated technologist to join our Cloud Operations team for the PST program. As part of the PST program they will be embedded within our XetaCloud Operations team and they will work within an Agile product team to support day to day operations, improve maturity of the cloud ecosystem, develop operations best practices, cloud maturity plans and documentation to comply with IT policy various compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
  • Experience working in a multi-cloud environment including Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services including their associated networking, architecture, and infrastructure.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
  • Experience with Datadog, Azure Monitor, AWS Cloudwatch, ServiceNow, Statseeker, Netscout, and/or other monitoring tools.
  • Experience managing production infrastructure and applications utilizing ITIL v3 (2011) or v4 best practices.
  • Technical communication including the ability to author professional user facing documentation targeted at various user audiences.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access certain necessary systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft Azure/AWS certifications.
  • Experience with SQL Server, Log Analytics, and Qlik.

Responsibilities

  • Provide cloud operations services and support for primarily Microsoft Azure and potentially some Amazon AWS environments.
  • Provide system administration services for Linux and Windows Server virtual machines.
  • Resolve incidents and fulfill service requests.
  • Investigate and permanently resolve problems.
  • Contribute to proactive problem management.
  • Design, document, test, implement changes.
  • Contribute to compliance and vulnerability management through patching, endpoint protection, and maintenance of key software installed on VMs.
  • Contribute to enhancement of monitoring and automation.
  • This role requires participation in a 24/7 on call rotation roster - day to be confirmed.
  • The role is a second shift opportunity to allow for added coverage required by the PST program.
