Cloud Operations Manager
About The Position
Our Client is supporting Their U.S. Government customer to provide rapid deployment and management of secure cloud-based engagement kits for cyber incident response and threat hunting operations. Working on this team means directly supporting the nation's cybersecurity defenders by ensuring they have reliable, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure available within hours of a cyber incident—helping protect America's digital infrastructure when it matters most. They are seeking an experienced and technically proficient Cloud Operations Manager to lead the end-to-end management of Bespin cloud engagement kits, ensuring rapid deployment, maintenance, and retirement of cloud-based infrastructure supporting critical incident response and threat hunting operations. This position requires strong leadership, technical acumen, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams in high-stakes operational environments.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must have an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
- Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability prior to starting employment
- 8+ years of directly relevant experience in cloud operations or infrastructure management
- 3+ years of management or team leadership experience
- Expert knowledge of AWS cloud services and architecture
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and incident response operations
- Experience managing 24/7 operational environments
- Excellent communication skills with ability to brief senior leadership
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet critical deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field; or 10+ years of relevant work experience and High School Diploma

- Experience supporting federal government programs
- Background in cybersecurity operations or threat hunting
- Experience with DevOps methodologies and tools
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar cloud certification
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
Responsibilities
- Oversee provisioning and fulfillment of engagement kit requests within eight business hours of federal authorization
- Manage decommissioning and secure termination of engagement kits following data archival confirmation
- Coordinate with engagement leads, analysts, case managers, and federal leadership to ensure mission alignment
- Produce and deliver weekly operational reports summarizing engagement kit status, health, and performance metrics
- Lead incident response and troubleshooting efforts for cloud infrastructure issues
- Manage resource allocation, scaling operations to match engagement requirements
- Ensure compliance with security protocols including TLS 1.2/1.3 encryption and hardened cloud configurations
- Oversee software license management and coordinate hardware shipments when required
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives for cloud operations
- Serve as primary liaison between technical teams and government stakeholders
