About The Position

As the Founding Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will build the foundational layer for zaimler’s semantic platform from scratch. You will design multi-cloud architectures and GPU infrastructure to power AI agents that reason over complex enterprise data. This high-impact role bridges the gap between raw data and autonomous agentic intelligence at scale. Rare opportunity to join as a founding engineer, making architectural decisions that will define the company’s technical trajectory for years to come. Work alongside a world-class senior team featuring the former Chief Architect of Visa and the engineer who built LinkedIn’s massive knowledge graph. Tackle the "missing middle" of the AI stack by building infrastructure specifically optimized for real-time inference and agentic reasoning rather than simple retrieval.

Requirements

  • 3–10+ years of infrastructure experience with a proven track record of building production-grade cloud environments and managing Kubernetes at scale.
  • Hands-on expertise with distributed ML systems (Ray, Ray Serve) and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Docker, and Helm.
  • Strong programming proficiency in Python or Go with a builder’s mindset capable of writing production code alongside infrastructure configuration.

Responsibilities

  • Design and operate multi-cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) including VPC networking, IAM/RBAC, and end-to-end Kubernetes orchestration.
  • Build and scale distributed ML infrastructure using Ray and Ray Serve to manage GPU scheduling, capacity planning, and model inference endpoints.
  • Implement robust GitOps workflows and observability stacks using Terraform, GitHub Actions, Prometheus, and Grafana to ensure production-grade reliability.
