Cloud Hosting Finance Analyst

Canva•San Francisco, CA

About The Position

The Cloud Hosting Finance Analyst supports Canva’s Tech & Product Finance and Technology & Infrastructure teams by making cloud hosting spend accurate, trusted, well forecasted, and actionable. The role owns the data layer used by AI and non-AI hosting spend analysts and partners with Accounting and technical accounting on methodologies for allocating hosting costs across the P&L. It works closely with Infrastructure, Platform, Procurement, FinOps, Finance Data, Finance Business Partners, and Group Leads as hosting costs grow and change with AI workloads and business growth. The position covers hosting data reconciliation, classification methodologies, financial planning and close processes, dashboards and queries, vendor and tagging data, cloud cost analysis, negotiations, and chargeback pilots. It includes monthly close, quarterly Outlooks, annual AOP, invoice validation, accrual and reclassification work, Anaplan actuals and variance commentary, as well as modelling for renewals and new vendor negotiations. The role is based in San Francisco, and candidates must currently be located in the area. Canva offers flexibility in how and where employees work.
