Requirements

  • 3+ years of Terraform Experience with Terraform state management (local, remote, Terraform Cloud)
  • 3+ years of experience with GitLab for code hosting and CI/CD pipeline management
  • Ability to create and manage custom .gitlab-ci.yml files, runners, caching, and environment variables
  • 3+ years of experience in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
  • Security+ or equivalent certification
  • 1+ years of experience with hands-on experience with AWS services (IAM, VPC networking, compute)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with government consulting.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for microservices and cloud-native deployments
  • Experience integrating policy-as-code tools (e.g., OPA, Sentinel) into CI/CD workflows
  • Familiarity with GitOps workflows and branch protection strategies
  • Knowledge of automated monitoring and resource tagging for cost optimization
  • Experience embedding security (DevSecOps) into CI/CD pipelines

Responsibilities

  • Automate the provisioning, scaling, and lifecycle management of cloud resources across an AWS environment using Terraform.
  • Design and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ensuring cloud environments are modular and reusable.
  • Architect and refine GitLab CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment workflows for rapid and reliable application delivery.
  • Embed security and compliance checks into CI/CD pipelines to enforce practices and maintain governance over infrastructure changes.
  • Leverage advanced GitLab features (branch protection, code reviews, environment variable management) to implement GitOps workflows for consistent and auditable infrastructure state.
  • Use scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) to automate custom tasks and integrate with APIs.
  • Utilize monitoring and resource tagging strategies within Terraform to optimize cloud performance and control costs.
  • Support microservices and cloud-native deployments using containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
