The Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and operating the organization’s cloud and hybrid infrastructure. This role works closely with Infrastructure Engineering, Security, and IT Operations to ensure scalable, resilient, and secure platforms that support business-critical workloads. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on engineering experience across cloud, networking, identity, automation, and Microsoft 365 services, with a focus on infrastructure as code and operational excellence. Design, deploy, and manage virtual servers and virtual appliances in Microsoft Azure, supporting both production and non-production workloads. Administer and maintain edge and cloud firewall platforms, including policy design, troubleshooting, and optimization; Meraki and Palo Alto experience strongly preferred. Manage and troubleshoot network routing infrastructure, including WAN and site connectivity, Meraki experience a plus. Configure, operate, and support network switching environments, with Cisco IOS experience preferred. Administer Microsoft domain services, including Active Directory, M365 Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy, ensuring availability, security, and proper delegation. Implement and maintain hardening and security best practices for cloud infrastructure, Windows servers, and network devices in alignment with organizational standards. Manage and support wireless infrastructure, including access point configuration, security, and performance tuning, Meraki experience a plus. Develop, deploy, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Bicep and Terraform, ensuring repeatability and consistency across environments. Create and maintain PowerShell scripts to support automation, configuration management, and operational efficiency. Identify and automate recurring IT and infrastructure tasks to improve reliability and reduce manual effort. Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and Intune. Design, configure, and manage Copilot agents, supporting productivity, automation, and AI-enabled workflows across the organization. Utilize network visibility and observability tools to rapidly identify sources of performance or connectivity issues and drive timely remediation. Participate in infrastructure planning, system upgrades, incident response, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ability to work as part of an on-call rotation with the Infrastructure Engineering team.
