The Cloud Engineer will be part of the “Cloud Platform Engineering” team that is responsible for the Cloud adoption strategy and developing platform components/services for the broad enterprise use. This role involves developing, documenting, and maintaining cloud platform, cloud services, and components to enable secure enterprise-wide use of cloud common functionality. It also includes the development of software/pipelines for enabling and automating provisioning, maintenance, and deployment for cloud platform and related components using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform). The engineer will work with the team to define reference cloud architecture, establish mid and long-term vision, strategy, and roadmaps for Cloud platform capabilities, and design and build highly available and scalable infrastructure. Additionally, the role involves presenting and communicating patterns, vision, and technology roadmaps to stakeholders, supporting teams with Google Cloud Platform design patterns, best practices, and security considerations, and assisting teams in developing/onboarding solutions on Google Cloud Platform. The engineer will also explore new Cloud technologies and services, support the evolution and availability of services enabled on the platform, enable controls and practices to enforce non-functional requirements for applications, and collaborate with cross-functional teams for monitoring and optimizing cloud infrastructure and performance.
