About The Position

Manage, administer, support, and enhance cloud environments, ensuring continuous improvement and rapid problem resolution, as a Cloud Operations Engineer. Apply advanced consulting skills and extensive technical expertise, including full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction, and mentor and supervise team members. Work in AWS Cloud infrastructure as well as the Army's integrated systems within the cloud.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, networking, storage, memory, compute instances, and tools for DevOps, including automating builds in Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, cloud formation, regression testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments
  • 5+ years of experience troubleshooting, triaging, and resolving system administration issues in Linux, cloud, or CI / CD pipeline failures or slowness
  • Ability to use active learning and analytical thinking within a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, Information Systems Management, or System Administration and 5+ years of experience in DevOps, or 8+ years of experience in DevOps in lieu of a degree
  • Cloud Engineering Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing enterprise cloud-native solutions involving Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Helm, GCP, or Azure
  • Experience with GitHub or GitLab CI / CD pipeline procedures
  • Knowledge of creating and improving continuous automation across multiple technical stacks
  • Knowledge of triaging and resolving networking, storage, memory, compute, or other issues related to both open-source and commercial tools in public cloud environments
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps processes, Linux+, CI / CD pipelines, cloud networking, and cloud architecture
  • CompTIA Security+, GSEC, CCNA-Security, SSCP, CISSP, or DoD-compliant IAT II or III Certification
