About The Position

Accenture Federal Services is seeking Cloud Engineers to join our team and support our client at Hill Air Force Base. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure for mission workloads in a fast-paced, agile environment, with room to grow into deeper platform and automation responsibilities over time. You will work within a small delivery team alongside Senior Cloud Engineers, Platform Engineers, and Security Engineers, executing infrastructure builds and operational tasks under an established architecture while building toward greater design ownership. The ideal candidate brings hands-on cloud engineering experience across any major provider and is comfortable operating in a centralized vision, decentralized command culture that emphasizes solution ownership and a fail-fast, fail-forward mindset.

Requirements

Cloud engineering or infrastructure experience (Azure preferred)
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g.: Terraform, ARM templates, CloudFormation, or Ansible)
Working knowledge of containerization and orchestration (e.g.: Docker, Kubernetes)
Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and operational tasks
Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and/or incident response workflows
Must have an active Secret clearance; Top Secret preferred

Nice To Haves

Multi-cloud experience (AWS and Azure)
Experience with identity and access management, networking fundamentals, and/or cloud security controls
Experience with cloud migration or modernization projects
CompTIA Security+ (current) or equivalent security certification
Azure or AWS certifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field
Comfortable operating in a centralized vision, decentralized command culture
Strong Agile framework familiarity — ability to work effectively in sprints, standups, and retrospectives
Solution ownership mindset — takes responsibility for assigned infrastructure and proactively identifies issues

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure supporting mission-critical government workloads
Implement Infrastructure as Code for consistent, repeatable deployments (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible)
Configure and manage identity, access, networking, and security controls across cloud environments
Support CI/CD pipeline operations and containerized workload deployment (Docker, Kubernetes)
Monitor infrastructure health, troubleshoot incidents, and drive resolution across Tier 1, Tier 2, and select Tier 3 issues
Respond to monitoring alerts and escalate complex problems with clear technical context
Support patching cycles, baseline updates, and configuration management activities
Implement and maintain security controls, STIG compliance checks, and vulnerability remediation activities
Support security audits and coordinate remediation with Security Engineering and ISSO teams
Operate within an Agile framework — participate in sprints, standups, and retrospectives
Document infrastructure decisions, runbooks, and operational procedures
Collaborate with senior engineers, security teams, and government personnel to support platform delivery
