Cloud Engineer – Tech Lead (FaaS Platform)
About The Position
Vanguard is seeking a Cloud Engineer – Tech Lead (FaaS Platform) to drive the design and delivery of event-driven, serverless solutions. This role will guide reliability, scalability, and multi-region strategies, and deliver complex work through others while remaining hands-on. The Tech Lead will mentor engineers, elevate technical capability across the team, and partner with security, compliance, and engineering teams. A key focus will be to improve developer experience through platform capabilities, tooling, and documentation. Requirements
- Minimum of eight years related work experience
- Undergraduate degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience
- Deep AWS experience, including Lambda and event-driven architectures
- Experience with software development
- Languages needed: Python
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code and reusable platform patterns
- Experience building and operating distributed, highly available systems
- Understanding of cloud security, IAM, and enterprise compliance
- Experience with observability, monitoring, and production operations
- Platform Engineering Experience building or operating internal platforms or developer tooling
- Strong focus on self-service capabilities and developer experience
