About The Position

Seeking a motivated and curious Cloud/Infra Engineer/Admin who thrives in troubleshooting complex issues and optimizing cloud deployments to join our dynamic cloud enablement team! In this role, you will support the business and IT with our cloud environments in GCP, AWS and Azure. Come join us! Candidates within the Chicagoland area are preferred.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Technology required.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience.
  • Must have experience supporting cloud infrastructure in a GCP, AWS, or Azure environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Cloud Architect or Engineer Certification (i.e.AWS Solution Architect, GCP Certified Professional Cloud Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, etc.) highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and technologies, such as, GCP, AWS, or Azure services and best practices.
  • Solid understanding of the best practices around security and willingness to advocate and implement control policies.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation to streamline operational tasks and workflows.
  • Preferred knowledge and proficiency working with Jenkins, Terraform, Python and/or PowerShell.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and excel in a collaborative work environment.
  • Experience in documenting and maintaining up to date systems procedures
  • Demonstrated analytical skills.
  • Experience in performing in a fast-paced, high growth, rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the design, implementation, and management of our cloud infrastructure using platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP.
  • Collaborates with cloud architects, engineers, developers, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of our cloud-based systems.
  • Navigates FinOps and cost optimization activities including right sizing and other efforts throughout the organization
  • Applies professional-level technical skill and judgment to provide non-routine technical support for computer/data center operations for both physical and virtualized environment.
  • Contributes to install, configure and troubleshoot cloud solutions, software, systems and other resources.
  • Contributes with team to maintain access control, data integrity and file system security for the computer/data center environment.
  • Participates to monitor, track and record system performance and utilization metrics.
  • Contributes in the development of information technology and infrastructure projects which support on/off premise and Infrastructure-as-a-Service solutions.
  • Contribute to moving operational tasks to support teams or automating these tasks.
  • Lead smaller projects to investigate understand and document new cloud solutions.
  • May be internal or external, client-focused, working in conjunction with Professional Services and outsourcing functions
  • Support company-wide, web-enabled and cloud-technology solutions.
