Cloud Development Engineer I
About The Position
Sentinel is seeking a Level I Engineer for our Cloud Select team. The ideal candidate will have a background in systems administration and demonstrates the ability to move into a Cloud focused role. Responsibilities include onboarding new customers, supporting data center migrations, and maintaining critical cloud infrastructure. This role requires excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills as you will be working with various cross functional teams. Candidates should have experience in technical support and be comfortable in a past-paced, SLA-driven environment. This position can be work remote within the United States but must travel to Downers Grove, IL as needed.
Requirements
- Background in systems administration
- Ability to move into a Cloud focused role
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience in technical support
- Comfortable in a past-paced, SLA-driven environment
- Must have a car
- A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
- Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
- Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Hyper-V/SystemCenter and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus
- Public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) experience
Responsibilities
- Onboarding new customers
- Supporting data center migrations
- Maintaining critical cloud infrastructure
- Provide technical support and system engineering for all Windows-based and Linux-based platforms including Active Directory, DNS, RDS
- Planning, executing, and overseeing the successful migration of data center infrastructure, applications, and services
- Participation in after-hours work (when needed) and OnCall rotation is required
