About The Position

Joint Strategic Technologies (JST) is seeking a Cloud Developer to support its team in building a Salesforce Experience Cloud member portal. The portal will include a roughly 60-question self-assessment with save-and-resume functionality, a personal transition plan, a status page, document upload, and the ability for members to request classes and counselors to approve them. The developer will write custom code for rules that cannot be configured, including deriving a member’s tier from assessment answers and determining applicable readiness requirements. The role also includes building deadline calculations tied to each member’s separation date, with clean recalculation when that date changes, and ensuring the portal meets Section 508 accessibility requirements.

This is a full-time remote position. The period of performance is six months, with potential for extension. Applicants must be able to pass a U.S. Government background check. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• Six or more years of relevant experience.
• Salesforce Certified Experience Cloud Consultant certification.
• Salesforce Platform Developer I certification.
• Experience building Experience Cloud sites.
• Experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, and JavaScript.
• Section 508 or WCAG accessibility experience on a site used by real users.
• Must be able to pass a U.S. Government background check.

Nice To Haves

• Salesforce Platform Developer II certification.
• Federal portal experience.
• Prior experience with a member-facing or citizen-facing Salesforce portal.

Responsibilities

• Build a member portal featuring a roughly 60-question self-assessment with save-and-resume functionality, a personal transition plan, a status page, and document upload.
• Write custom code for rules that cannot be configured, including deriving member tiers from assessment answers and determining which readiness requirements apply to each member.
• Build deadline calculations based on members’ separation dates and ensure calculations update cleanly when those dates change.
• Meet Section 508 accessibility requirements for a portal accessed directly by members.
• Build functionality for members to request classes and counselors to approve them.
