About The Position

This team provides cloud-based geolocation solutions in near-real time to decision makers and warfighters around the world. The Cloud Developer/Integrator designs, implements, and maintains cloud infrastructure, including modernization, migration, and roadmaps, ensuring systems follow best practices and governance requirements. The role builds reusable modules and enforces development standards for creating and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC). It monitors infrastructure and system health and performance, uses logging and alerting to identify issues, and implements solutions to improve efficiency. The role develops strategies for failure and recovery, cost optimization, and cloud-service benefit analysis; participates in continuous improvement initiatives; contributes to architectures, runbooks, operational procedures, and performance metrics; transfers knowledge to internal teams; and recommends enhancements based on emerging technologies. The position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and is located in Annapolis Junction, Maryland.

Requirements

• Fourteen years of experience as a software engineer (SWE) in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university; four additional years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• Experience provisioning, configuring, and managing cloud infrastructure and services, including compute, storage, networking, and IAM.
• Experience designing and implementing secure, scalable cloud architectures.
• Experience developing and maintaining IaC using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• Knowledge of container and platform workloads, such as Docker and Kubernetes/EKS/AKS/GKE.
• Development experience with Java and React.
• Experience configuring monitoring, logging, and alerting with tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus/Grafana, and ELK/OpenSearch, and responding to incidents.
• Experience implementing and testing backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies.
• Experience managing secrets and key management with tools such as KMS, KeyVault, or Secret Manager, including certificates and rotation policies.
• Experience optimizing cloud cost and performance, including tagging, budgets, rightsizing, and autoscaling, and producing usage and cost reports.
• Experience troubleshooting cloud infrastructure issues involving networking, security, and service limits.
• Experience documenting architectures, runbooks, and operational procedures.
• Experience with Linux operating systems.
• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system capabilities and efficiency.
• Contribute to architectures, runbooks, operational procedures, and performance metrics where applicable.
• Provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to current systems.
