About The Position

As a Cloud Database Administrator at Booz Allen, you will leverage your people skills and technical expertise to manage and secure database technology. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining user profiles for database access, continuously seeking opportunities to implement database tuning and performance optimization, and providing support to meet customer needs. Your role will involve implementing policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of the database, ultimately contributing to improved database usage and client satisfaction.

Requirements

4+ years of experience with database administration and query tuning
4+ years of experience with RDS Oracle, Elasticsearch, SQL, or NoSQL
Experience implementing infrastructure solutions in AWS Enterprise Environments
Experience with creating, modifying, and managing tables, views, foreign keys, and relational constructs using SQL
Experience with automated data migration tools to import or modify existing data as the schema changes
Experience with creating and managing user accounts and permissions
DHS Suitability
Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of experience supporting, managing, and performance tuning customer databases in cloud platforms, or 9+ years of experience supporting, managing, and performance tuning customer databases in cloud platforms in lieu of degree

Nice To Haves

Experience with Aurora Postgres and Mongo DB
Experience with resiliency engineering and SRE Principles
Experience providing direct customer consulting support
Experience in government, regulated, or high-compliance cloud environments
AWS Cloud Certifications
