About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Data Migration Engineer with a minimum of 12 years of experience to join our team. This role is crucial for overseeing and executing complex cloud data migration projects, ensuring a smooth transition of our database infrastructure to the cloud. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of database systems, cloud platforms, and migration strategies.

Requirements

• Minimum 12 years of experience in database administration and migration.
• Proven expertise in Oracle Database Migration.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Database Migration Service (AWS DMS).
• Extensive experience in migrating Oracle databases to AWS.
• Strong understanding of database modernization techniques.
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of Austin.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage cloud data migration projects from initiation to completion.
• Design and implement migration strategies for Oracle databases to AWS.
• Utilize AWS Database Migration Service (AWS DMS) for efficient data transfer.
• Perform database modernization initiatives to optimize performance and scalability.
• Ensure data integrity and security throughout the migration process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define migration requirements and timelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during migration.
