About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Data Migration Engineer to join our team in Austin, Texas. This role offers a hybrid work model, requiring 3 days remote and 2 days onsite on Mondays and Thursdays. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 years of experience and a strong background in cloud data migration, specifically focusing on Oracle database migrations to AWS. This position is crucial for driving our database modernization efforts.

Requirements

• Minimum 12 years of experience in data migration and database management.
• Extensive experience with Oracle Database Migration.
• Proficiency in AWS Database Migration Service (AWS DMS).
• Proven track record of successful Oracle to AWS migrations.
• Strong understanding of database modernization concepts and methodologies.
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of Austin, Texas.

Responsibilities

• Execute and manage cloud data migration projects, with a primary focus on Oracle to AWS migrations.
• Utilize AWS Database Migration Service (AWS DMS) for efficient and reliable data transfer.
• Lead database modernization initiatives, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define migration strategies and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the migration process.
• Ensure data integrity and security throughout the migration lifecycle.
