About The Position
Join Deloitte’s AI & Engineering team to help transform technology platforms, drive innovation, and support client success. The team builds, deploys, and operates integrated solutions across software, data, AI, networks, and hybrid cloud infrastructure, helping clients modernize mission-critical operations and technology and data platforms. As a Lead Data Engineer II on the AI & Data team, you will lead the design and delivery of scalable technical solutions for client engagements. You will lead small engagements or key workstreams within larger transformation programs, manage distributed cross-functional delivery teams and client relationships throughout the engagement lifecycle, and contribute to proposal and business development efforts. You will oversee the quality of team deliverables and recommendations while also contributing to hands-on solution delivery. The AI & Data practice designs, develops, and operates data and AI platforms, products, insights, and services to help clients enhance and scale their data, AI, and analytics capabilities. Recruiting for this role ends on 11/17/26. The position may require travel up to 50% on average. Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
Requirements
- 5 or more years of experience in data engineering and distributed data platforms, including architecting and governing enterprise-scale Big Data, cloud, and AI/ML platforms across Azure, AWS, GCP, and on-premises environments.
- Deep Databricks Lakehouse expertise, including Delta Lake, Delta Live Tables, Unity Catalog, Auto Loader, PySpark, and Spark SQL.
- 2 or more years of experience designing and developing cloud-based Azure and AWS data engineering solutions.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Glue, EMR, EKS, S3, Lambda, RDS, OpenSearch, and CloudWatch.
- 1 or more years of experience leading and delivering engagements with geographically distributed, cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, artificial intelligence, information technology, or a related field.
- Ability to travel up to 50% on average, depending on work and clients served.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
