About The Position

Information Technology Strategies, Inc. is seeking a Cloud Computing Specialist to work for our company, supporting the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). This role requires a subject matter expert in Certification and Accreditation (C&A) and the application of NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) standards (NIST SP 800-53 and 800-37). The specialist will maintain a current Cloud Computing Security Certification, work independently with substantial cloud computing security knowledge, and identify, manage, and resolve cloud computing security risks while implementing best practices in cloud environments. Responsibilities include providing DLA tenancy services, delivering capabilities to the AMPS Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) hosting environment, securing and isolating cloud tenancy, researching and implementing new OCI services, and administering middle and web tiers, single sign-on (SSO), and user/group management.

Requirements

  • Must possess IT-II security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC). (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies)
  • Must possess a DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification for Category IAM Level I.
  • Must possess a Cloud Computing Security Certification (e.g., Certified Cloud Security Professional [CCSP], Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge [CCSK], or an OCI Specialty Certification).
  • Five (5) years of experience in DoD Impact Level 5 (IL5) Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) administration, maintenance, and support.
  • Possess OCI IT Service experience in multiple technical areas, including Information Systems Architecture, Security Engineering (policies, STIGs, DoWCloud SRG, etc), and Communications and Network Systems Management.
  • Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST C&A experience
  • DOD Cybersecurity experience
  • Experience in assessing Cybersecurity Controls and conducting C&A reviews for large, complex Information systems.
  • Experience with modern and dynamic computing (e.g., hybrid computing, edge computing, cloud native microservices) and networking protocols or standard Internet of Things (IoT) protocols.
  • Experience and well versed in FedRAMP assessment methodology of security and privacy controls deployed in cloud information systems to include six (6) domain areas which include: Architectural Concepts & Design Requirements, Cloud Data Security, Cloud Platform & Infrastructure Security, Cloud Application Security, Operations, Legal & Compliance.
  • Proven experience solving difficult problems across all areas of cloud service software engineering, including high-scale distributed systems, virtualized infrastructure, identity, security, and observability.
  • Experience with Autonomous Database Oracle Enterprise Database and/or Oracle Database Cloud Service (DBCS) management and support.
  • Experience deploying and managing containerized applications using Oracle Kubernetes (OKE).
  • Knowledge of programming/scripting for automation of tasks (e.g., OCI compliant Ansible, HELM, Terraform).
  • Experience with the configuration of cloud-native security settings, such as Oracle Cloud Guard.
  • Oral presentation experience and excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain current Cloud Computing Security Certification.
  • Work independently with substantial cloud computing security knowledge.
  • Identify, manage, and resolve cloud computing security risk.
  • Implement “best practices” as applied within a cloud environment (across all the different deployment and service models, and derivatives).
  • Work closely with the DLA LEGACY AMPS PMO, provide DLA tenancy services, and deliver additional capabilities to the AMPS Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) hosting environment.
  • Secure and isolate the cloud tenancy to effectively create, organize, integrate, and administer cloud resources.
  • Research, recommend, and implement new OCI services as they become available to the tenancy to benefit operations.
  • Administer middle and web tiers, single sign-on (SSO), and create and manage users and groups.
