About The Position

Peraton is seeking a Cloud Computing Engineer to join their team. This role involves identifying technical, CI, and operational risks, studying the feasibility and vulnerability of new technical collection capabilities, and assessing emerging technologies. The engineer will evaluate, validate, and analyze technical development compliance with stated requirements, integrate, test, verify, and validate end-to-end systems, and develop system engineering-related documentation. A key aspect of the role is translating business requirements into technical solutions and performing technical trades and analyses. The position requires applying an agile approach to software development consistent with the Sponsor's project management and software development frameworks.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with relevant polygraph.
  • Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.; an additional four years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Demonstrated experience managing AWS services including C2S, S3, EC2, Load balancers, ECR, subnets, autoscaling groups and users/groups, Lambda, MSK, SageMaker, Docker, Kafka, KMS
  • Demonstrated experience with Security controls including managing security groups, network ACLs (Role Based Access Control (RBAC) / Attribute Based Access Control (ABAC))
  • Demonstrated proficiency operating in Unix/ Linux-based OS
  • Experience writing and testing Python, Java, Typescript
  • Experience implement and operating systems with Auditing tools, Enterprise Application Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) solution (OAuth), role-based access controls (RBAC)

Responsibilities

  • Identify technical, CI, and operational risks, vulnerabilities, and single points of failure, and recommend mitigations
  • Study the feasibility and vulnerability of new technical collection capabilities and analyze gaps
  • Assess emerging and commercial off the shelf technologies in support of operational requirements and applications
  • Evaluate, validate, and analyze technical development compliance with stated requirements
  • Integrate, test, verify, and validate end-to-end systems
  • Develop data models, diagrams, flow charts, and other system engineering-related documentation to problem-solve, identify improvements, create standards, and facilitate cross-organizational collaboration
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Perform technical trades and analyses in support of requirements development
  • Study capability feasibility and vulnerability studies and gap analyses
  • Apply an agile approach to software development consistent with the Sponsor's project management and software development frameworks
