About The Position

We are seeking a strong engineer with expertise in cloud capacity management and forecasting. This role is critical to helping us understand, optimize, and strategically manage our infrastructure spend across cloud and datacenter environments. In this role, you will drive how efficiently we operate our multi-cloud footprint, including forecasting infrastructure demand and planning capacity, improving utilization, and reducing unit costs across compute, storage, and networking resources. This includes building robust visibility into infrastructure spend, developing accurate cost attribution across teams and workloads, modeling resource demand, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency at scale.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of direct experience in capacity management or demand planning.
  • Must have experience managing capacity at scale.
  • Strong Understanding Cloud Infrastructure and Cloud Services such as: Kubernetes (K8s) , Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), and S3.
  • Must have a deep understanding of servers, clusters, namespaces, quotas, cloud concepts.
  • Expertise in scripting, coding and automation with Python and SQL.
  • Forecasting expertise: understanding capacity planning, demand modeling, and resource scenarios.
  • Must have experience with forecasting, data modeling and data visualization tools.
  • A strong ability to thrive in ambiguity, taking initiative to create clarity and forward progress, with highly effective communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Own capacity forecasting and planning (cloud, servers, resources)
  • Run weekly stakeholder meetings to collect demand data and drive alignment
  • Build and maintain forecasting models by quarter
  • Generate executive-level reporting on capacity and efficiency
