About The Position

SAIC is seeking a Cloud Automation Engineer located at Pearl City, Hawaii, to support USPACOM. The role designs, implements, and manages automated provisioning of cloud resources, using coding, scripting, and automation frameworks to improve the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of Government-owned secure cloud infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and five or more years of related experience; an additional four years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with Azure cloud platforms is required.
• Experience with Terraform, Bicep, and Ansible.
• Experience with programming or scripting languages such as Python, Go, PowerShell, Bash, or similar.
• Experience with Jenkins, GitLab, and Docker.
• Active Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
• Must be a current U.S. citizen.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with AWS cloud platforms is desired.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain cloud automation frameworks and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipelines.
• Develop and optimize automation scripts and templates for cloud resource provisioning.
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and security across cloud systems.
• Coordinate with DevOps, development, and operations teams to streamline workflows and reduce manual processes.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and automation tools to accelerate deployments.
• Troubleshoot automation processes, monitor performance, and document procedures.
• Recommend tools and technologies to optimize costs and performance.
