About The Position

SAIC is seeking a Cloud Automation Engineer in Pearl City, Hawaii, to support USPACOM by designing, implementing, and managing automated provisioning of cloud resources. The role uses coding, scripting, and automation frameworks to improve the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of Government-owned, secure cloud infrastructure.

The engineer designs, builds, and maintains cloud automation frameworks and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipelines; develops and optimizes automation scripts and templates for cloud resource provisioning; and ensures high availability, disaster recovery, and security across cloud systems. The position works with DevOps, development, and operations teams to streamline workflows and reduce manual processes, and implements CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and automation tools to accelerate deployments. Duties also include troubleshooting automation processes, monitoring performance, documenting procedures, and recommending tools or technologies to optimize costs and performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of related experience, or an additional four years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with Azure cloud platforms is required.
• Experience with Terraform, Bicep, and Ansible.
• Experience with Python, Go, PowerShell, Bash, or similar programming or scripting languages.
• Experience with Jenkins, GitLab, and Docker.
• Active Secret clearance and ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
• Must be a current U.S. citizen.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with AWS cloud platforms.
