About The Position

The Cloud Architect will support CAA and Army Contracting Command – Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA). Responsibilities include engineering, building, testing, and deployment of cloud service offerings for new and existing cloud architectures. The role involves developing architecture products such as technical architecture, business architecture, strategic planning, and business process design. The Cloud Architect will participate in high-level enterprise architecture analysis, evaluation, design, integration, documentation, and development, applying advanced technical principles to solve complex problems. This position provides cloud architectural expertise to management and technical staff, develops cloud architectural products and deliverables for enterprise and operational business lines, and designs cloud system strategy and infrastructure to support it. Additionally, the role advises on the selection of cloud technological purchases related to processing, data storage, data access, and application requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s and 7 years of experience
  • Adept at migrating systems to a cloud architecture from disparate platforms and utilizing a wide range of tools to implement/reimplement systems in a cloud architecture.
  • CCB, ARB, Army Governance, and cloud processes
  • Knowledge of Cloud Management and Migration (cARMY)
  • Knowledge of Army Transformation
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Presentation and meeting facilitation experience
  • Secret Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for engineering, building, testing, and deployment of cloud service offerings for new and existing cloud architectures.
  • Develops architecture products, including technical architecture, business architecture, strategic planning, and business process design.
  • Participates in high-level enterprise architecture analysis, evaluation, design, integration, documentation, and development.
  • Applies high-level business and technical principles and methods to difficult technical problems to arrive at creative engineering solutions.
  • Provides cloud architectural expertise to management and technical staff.
  • Develops cloud architectural products and deliverables for the enterprise and operational business lines.
  • Develops cloud system strategy and infrastructure design to support the strategy.
  • Advises on selection of cloud technological purchases concerning processing, data storage, data access, and application requirements.
