About The Position

The Cloud Architect will support CAA and Army Contracting Command – Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA). This role is responsible for engineering, building, testing, and deployment of cloud service offerings for new and existing cloud architectures. The architect will develop architecture products, including technical architecture, business architecture, strategic planning, and business process design. They will participate in high-level enterprise architecture analysis, evaluation, design, integration, documentation, and development, applying high-level business and technical principles to solve difficult technical problems. The role provides cloud architectural expertise to management and technical staff, develops cloud architectural products and deliverables for the enterprise and operational business lines, and develops cloud system strategy and infrastructure design to support the strategy. Additionally, the Cloud Architect will advise on the selection of cloud technological purchases concerning processing, data storage, data access, and application requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s and 7 years of experience
• Adept at migrating systems to a cloud architecture from disparate platforms and utilizing a wide range of tools to implement/reimplement systems in a cloud architecture.
• CCB, ARB, Army Governance, and cloud processes
• Knowledge of Cloud Management and Migration (cARMY)
• Knowledge of Army Transformation
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Presentation and meeting facilitation experience
• Secret Clearance

• Advises on selection of cloud technological purchases concerning processing, data storage, data access, and application requirements.
