About The Position

WoodmenLife is seeking a Cloud Architect to lead the evolution of its enterprise Azure platform and shape the technology foundation for its cloud-first and AI-enabled future. This strategic role combines enterprise architecture, cloud platform strategy, and organizational leadership to accelerate modernization across the enterprise. The Cloud Architect defines cloud strategy, establishes enterprise standards, guides modernization, and ensures the platform enables secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective technology solutions. The role serves as Product Owner for the Nimbus Cloud Center of Excellence (CoE), driving cloud adoption, platform maturity, governance, and reusable capabilities. It influences enterprise-wide technology decisions and partners with senior technology leaders on cloud adoption, AI enablement, data modernization, enterprise integration, and legacy platform transformation. The position is part of the Enterprise Architecture organization and works closely with application, infrastructure, security, data and AI, and product teams. The Cloud Architect defines and evolves WoodmenLife’s enterprise cloud platform architecture in alignment with enterprise technology strategy. The role establishes cloud standards, governance models, and reference architectures; guides adoption and modernization initiatives; prioritizes platform capabilities and investments; and drives continuous improvement of the Azure environment. It operates at a platform and strategy level rather than owning applications. The position is remote and reports to the Director, Enterprise & Cloud Architecture. Applicants must provide a resume containing their full name, current residential address, email address, and phone number.
