About The Position

Oracle Government Defense & Intelligence is hiring a Principal / Master Principal Cloud Architect-Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to support the U.S. Intelligence Community. This hybrid role combines remote work, in-office work, and client-site meetings. Candidates must be based in or within commuting distance of St. Louis, Missouri. The engineer will be embedded full-time with a single customer, partnering with operators, technical leaders, and mission stakeholders to architect, deploy, secure, and operationalize cloud solutions. The role owns technical success from initial architecture through production deployment and operational adoption, rather than handing off recommendations or working in presales. The FDE leads customer deployments end-to-end, translating mission requirements into scalable cloud architectures and building, configuring, securing, and operating infrastructure in customer environments. Work may span OCI compute, networking, identity, Kubernetes, containers, databases, storage, security, monitoring, high availability, disaster recovery, and cloud-native modernization. The engineer will troubleshoot and optimize deployments, support adoption and knowledge transfer, and share field learnings that influence Oracle's product and engineering direction. Candidates must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Poly. The posting identifies this as a Principal / Master Principal role and states a minimum of 6+ years of cloud, infrastructure, or platform engineering experience. The stated U.S. hiring range is $118,700–$194,400 per annum; the role may be eligible for equity and commission, with an estimated 70/30 pay mix.
