About The Position

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Cloud Architect - DevSecOps to join the Erebus Program, a newly awarded 7-year effort delivering cutting-edge intelligence and geospatial data management applications and services to the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). The Erebus Program is the premier geospatial intelligence program globally, supporting over 14,000 intelligence analysts and decision-makers at 50 distinct locations worldwide. The program focuses on meeting current mission needs while pioneering future automation solutions for the NGA based on agency directives. We are developing innovative, machine-generated, and system-augmented geospatial analysis and production capabilities that will revolutionize intelligence distribution. We are looking for talented engineers who share our passion for excellence and innovation to join the Erebus Team and help build the next generation of geospatial intelligence software to support critical national security missions.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience developing multi-tiered or microservice applications.
  • Experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, Google).
  • Containerization experience (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins).
  • Strong scripting experience.
  • Linux experience.
  • Active Top Secret clearance needed to start with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Poly.
  • Must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting US government agencies.
  • Experience using Amazon Web Services.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Familiarity with GitOps (GitLab, ArgoCD).

Responsibilities

  • Developing multi-tiered or microservice applications.
  • Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins).
  • Scripting and building automated pipelines.
  • Understanding the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Basic networking, security, & firewall concepts.
  • Implementing DevSecOps principles, identity & access management.
  • Deploying and maintaining Kubernetes distributions.
  • Monitoring & Logging (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK Stack).
