Cloud DevSecOps Engineer
About The Position
GDIT is seeking a Cloud DevSecOps Engineer to support the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Global Video Services (GVS) business area, enabling the integration of video services into the Department of War. This is a hybrid role, requiring a combination of remote (20%) and onsite (80%) support in Chantilly, VA or Fort Meade, Maryland. The engineer will automate security scanning, manage cloud identity and compliance, and monitor cloud environments for misconfigurations to enforce security policies. Responsibilities include designing, documenting, implementing, and maintaining enterprise Cloud Application capabilities (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS) for DoW customers. The role also involves providing guidance and leadership to the development team on complex software system design, acting as a high-level technical expert for systems integration, reviewing existing programs for refinements, and being responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation. Quality assurance review and evaluation of software products are also key aspects. Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in related technical field
- 8+ years of related experience
- Minimum of an active Secret security clearance
- CompTIA Security+ or similar for IAT Level II 8570 certification
- Ability to integrate security practices directly into cloud-native development and deployment workflows
- Experience in DevSecOps utilizing, configuring and integrating tools such as Fortify, SonarQube, Gitlab, Sonatype Nexus
- Expertise in developing, maintaining and contributing to technical and process documentation
- Strong understanding of DoW Cloud governance and application architectures required to implement cloud services for DoW customers
- Specific focus is on user interface development for government off-the-shelf interfaces
- Expertise with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Office 365 management and configuration (Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, Office Suite)
- Strong knowledge of modern UI frameworks and libraries
- Experience in agile methodologies, especially related to release scheduling, and utilizing tools such as JIRA and Confluence
- Proficiency in developing and executing test plans
- US Citizenship Required
Responsibilities

- Automate configuration, validation, and monitoring processes using a mix scripting, development and configuration, reducing manual errors and deployment times
