The successful candidate is a senior technical professional with a broad knowledge of IT infrastructure with a focus on Microsoft Enterprise products. The incumbent is responsible for the design, delivery and operations of Stikeman Elliotts technology infrastructure and services for all offices (domestic and international). The incumbent will participate in and lead implementations, upgrades and the day-to-day operations of solutions for a variety of infrastructure systems including on-prem network, storage, compute, cloud, and SaaS. The person may be required to work after regular working hours based on project and operational requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in an Information Systems related field as an Infrastructure Specialist
  • Bilingual written and spoken (French and English) given the clientele, mandates, and international scope of the firm
  • Core skills include mid to expert level knowledge in several of the following technologies: Microsoft Office 365, MS Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online and Exchange Online Archive, MS Azure, Active Directory and related services (MFA, CAP), Microsoft Windows Server, Systems Centre, Non-Microsoft technologies such as CommVault, Veeam, VMWare, Nutanix, dHCI, VM Essentials, etc
  • PowerShell
  • Goal oriented, organized, self-motivated, and self-sufficient
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills and team orientation
  • High-level of professionalism, integrity and commitment to quality
  • Desire to pursue applicable professional development and certifications
  • Acceptable to change in daily and weekly work routines to accommodate after hours implementations and on call requirements
  • Ability and desire to stay current of new technologies and solutions

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or related field preferred
  • Azure Fundamentals preferred

Responsibilities

  • Work with Stikeman Elliott Enterprise Architecture to transition high level technology decisions/concepts into system designs/blueprints and tactical build/deployment plans
  • Perform deployment, testing, and support activities
  • Plan and execute implementations including coordinating activities with other teams outside of IT
  • Create and maintain technical documentation to ensure efficient planning, execution and supportability.
  • Provide ongoing management, monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Follow operational policies and processes that are compliant with ITIL and ISO standards
  • Participate in change management activities
  • Conduct scheduled system maintenance activities
