About The Position

The Cloud & Infrastructure Solutions Architect is a senior-level individual contributor responsible for architecture, design governance, and technical delivery oversight across assigned customer environments. This role provides technical leadership for cloud infrastructure, on-premises platforms, networking, database infrastructure, backup, disaster recovery, and operational resilience initiatives. This position serves as a customer-facing technical advisor, partnering closely with customer stakeholders and internal leadership to define infrastructure strategies, architecture roadmaps, technical standards, and long-term operational objectives. The role is primarily focused on architecture leadership and governance and does not include direct people-management responsibility; however, the individual is expected to influence delivery teams, reinforce technical standards, and drive accountability for architecture alignment and implementation quality. The role reports to the Vice President of Technology Operations and collaborates extensively with cloud, infrastructure, network, database, development, security, and project delivery teams.

  • At least 10+ years of experience designing and governing complex cloud, hybrid, and on-premises infrastructure environments.
  • Demonstrated experience providing architecture leadership, technical governance, stakeholder engagement, and resilience-focused infrastructure design.
  • Strong architecture experience with Microsoft Azure, including cloud infrastructure, networking, identity integration, security, backup, and disaster recovery.
  • Experience supporting multi-cloud environments utilizing AWS and Google Cloud Platform for targeted workloads and integrations.
  • Experience governing enterprise infrastructure environments that include virtualization platforms, compute infrastructure, storage solutions, networking technologies, backup platforms, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Experience collaborating with infrastructure, development, database, networking, and security teams to support integrated technology delivery.
  • Strong understanding of cloud and hybrid infrastructure architecture principles and operational best practices.
  • Working knowledge of cloud-native backup, disaster recovery, networking, monitoring, security, and identity management concepts.
  • Strong understanding of on-premises infrastructure technologies, including virtualization, compute, storage, networking, database infrastructure, and backup platforms.
  • Ability to evaluate technical solutions based on scalability, availability, resilience, security, supportability, cost, and operational complexity.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to influence technical teams and stakeholders without direct reporting authority.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining architecture quality and delivery alignment.
  • Ability to work independently while escalating business-critical decisions appropriately.
  • Familiarity with managed services delivery models, operational governance, technical documentation, and change management practices.
