About The Position

The Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by demonstrating products, maintaining product knowledge, replenishing and restocking merchandise, and keeping the work area clean and supplied. The Sales Outfitter helps customers make buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up. The role works under general supervision and established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and recommendations for work procedures, policies, and practices. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

High school education or equivalent experience.
Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
Ability to operate a computerized point-of-sale register system.
Ability to stand and/or walk constantly during the shift.
Ability to occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, and similar structures.
Ability to occasionally repeat motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Ability to occasionally operate machinery and/or power tools and motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally move or lift objects up to 100 pounds or more, using a team lift as needed.
Ability to occasionally work in tight or confined spaces and noisy environments.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly, prompt customer service and help create a pleasant and productive shopping experience.
Demonstrate products to customers.
Replenish and restock merchandise according to merchandising guidelines and as needed.
Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
Follow company policies and procedures.
Identify and evaluate customer needs, recommend products, and promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
Perform other duties as assigned.
