Clothing Coordinator- Samaritan House Denver

Requirements

• Must be able to pass a physical before employment.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility and willingness to quickly shift priorities as needed.
• Knowledge of the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and the appropriate techniques and practices for the client population.
• Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently with Agency staff and with a diverse client base.
• Ability to interact with participants and donors with the ability to relate to them on their level.
• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year related experience in retail, warehouse and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, distribute and store all non-financial donations and supplies.
• Inventory all incoming donations.
• Sort and store all donations within the warehouse and the clothing room.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the clothing area used by participants.
• Sort and distribute all donated office supplies to specific departments as needed.
• Coordinates sorting and distribution of clothing donated to the clothing room.
• Assists participants in filling their clothing requests.
• Assists the operations department when they are shorthanded or a staff member is absent.
• Attends required meetings.
• Supports and educates residents and volunteers on warehouse operations.
• Reflects Catholic Charities’ commitment to treating all persons with dignity and respect.
• Uses creativity and innovation in program development and service delivery.
• Maintains confidentiality of client and agency information.
• Regular and predictable attendance.
