About The Position

Christensen Recycling is a fast-growing, owner-led operation running 10–15 trucks per day across New Jersey and surrounding states. Leadership here is hands-on, visible, and directly involved in daily operations. The right person in this role will have real responsibility, real influence, and a direct path to long-term growth. Reliability and commitment matter greatly. This is an operations role where consistency is critical. We are looking for someone who takes pride in being dependable, prepared, and present. Our culture is simple and demanding: We work extremely hard Monday through Friday, operate with urgency, structure, and professionalism, and protect family time on weekends. This role starts at 10:00 AM and finishes around 8:00 PM at close of operations, Monday through Friday only. The owner built this company over 25 years, growing it from a single pickup truck generating $50,000 per year into a business now exceeding $10 million in annual revenue. The owner is now focused on building the next generation of leadership inside the company. This role is designed to grow into an Operations Manager position for the right person.

Responsibilities

  • Answering inbound calls and dispatching jobs to active routes when trucks are already in the area
  • Scheduling future pickups and building routes efficiently
  • Working the scale and coordinating yard flow
  • Ensuring all drivers and buyers leave early, prepared, and organized each morning
  • Making sure all routes are fully built and uploaded the day prior so mornings run smoothly without scrambling
