About The Position

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall cleanliness of assigned rooms/suites. This role involves reporting maintenance deficiencies to ensure rooms/suites are maintained in compliance with hotel standards. Essential functions include cleaning assigned rooms/suites, which encompasses making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, and washing windows/tracks. The attendant will report rooms as clean and available, and respond to guest requests for extra amenities or service times. Additionally, the role involves maintaining the Room Attendant's cart, greeting guests, replenishing linens and amenities, and cleaning balconies if applicable.

Requirements

6 months to 1 year cleaning experience in housekeeping or janitorial services preferred.
Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
Requires walking or standing to a significant degree, as well as reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing.
Must be able to work in a drug-free workplace and pass pre-employment substance abuse testing.

Nice To Haves

High School graduate or equivalent preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

Clean rooms/suites, as assigned, which includes: making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming and washing windows / tracks.
Report rooms as clean and available.
Report maintenance deficiencies in order to maintain room in compliance with hotel standards.
Strip dirty linens and towels and remove used amenities from the room/suite.
Maintain the Room Attendant’s cart stocked.
Greet guests immediately with friendly/sincere acknowledgement.
Replenish linen and guest amenities.
Clean balconies, if applicable.
Respond to special requests by guests (such as providing extra amenities or service time requests).
Provide customer service to guests, including information about the hotel services, activities and local attractions.
Assist co-workers, as requested.
