About The Position

The ideal candidate creates the first impression for guests arriving at the property. This role is responsible for greeting and welcoming guests, opening doors, assisting with transportation, and ensuring smooth arrivals and departures while upholding the highest standards of hospitality and professionalism.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training preferred.
  • Prior experience in guest services or bellman role is a plus.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Knowledge of the local area is beneficial.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Requires walking or standing to a significant degree, as well as reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all FORBES standards.
  • Call all vehicles over the radio and confirm back to the main gate.
  • Attend pre-shift meetings conducted with the valet managers and valet runners.
  • Open and close ALL guest doors for the guest.
  • Greet ALL guests appropriately.
  • Remove ALL luggage from the vehicle and load onto a bell cart.
  • Escort ALL Cloister guests to the front desk and introduce them to the FD agent by name.
  • Ensure all doorpersons are in the proper uniform, wearing their nametag and have a Daily Compass.
  • Ensure door team attends the Pre-shift meeting.
  • Ensure doormen are posted up.
  • Call valet runners up as vehicles arrive.
  • Keep the podium clean and free of clutter.
  • Tag luggage.
  • Update ShiftNote with any pertinent information.
  • Ensure all radios are charged and ready for the next shift.
  • Keep the front drive clean and free of any trash.
  • Keep the holding room clean and organized.
  • Keep the lobby clean and free of any dirty glasses or trash.
