About The Position

U.S. Bank Global Corporate Trust Services is a leading provider of corporate trust services globally, serving clients through 48 domestic and three international offices. The Collateralized Debt Obligation (CDO) and Global Structured Finance (GSF) groups within U.S. Bank Global Corporate Trust Services specialize in structured finance vehicles that issue debt and equity liabilities. These vehicles use proceeds to acquire collateral such as syndicated bank loans, corporate bonds, ABS, MBS, CMBS, and Mezzanine debt. The Trust Reporting function within these groups involves reviewing deal documents, establishing cashflow priorities, collecting asset activity data, reporting to bondholders, and performing trust tax reporting when necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, accounting or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Three to five years of relevant work experience
  • Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applications

  • Thorough understanding of syndicated bank loans, fixed income securities, securitization, trading or mutual funds
  • Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to interpret data
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and meet established deadlines in a dynamic working environment with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret trust indentures with regard to reporting requirements.
  • Create technical report specifications from indenture language.
  • Set up payment calculations in a variety of in-house systems.
  • Receive, map and reconcile periodic collateral data.
  • As required, make tax elections, file for EIN’s, and track residual holder transfers.
  • As required, perform portfolio compliance tests on a selection of structured fixed income deals (trade testing).
  • Compile monthly, quarterly and annual payment and/or tax reports.
  • Coordinate with operations teams to ensure correct payments are received and made.
  • Perform quality control review of reports, meeting timeliness and accuracy standards.
  • Frequent interaction with asset managers, investors, auditors and rating agencies.
