About The Position

Johnny Chang is seeking a Clip Picker and Video Reviewer to identify and curate compelling short-form content from long-form streams. This role involves owning the entire clip pipeline, from selecting "moment worthy" segments to reviewing final edits before publication. The goal is to find and promote content that resonates with a wide audience, including those new to biblical teachings. Success will be measured by the quality and performance of selected clips, as indicated by specific metrics and a dashboard.

This position is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of short-form video, a keen eye for impactful moments, and the ability to provide direct, actionable feedback. The role requires a commitment to continuous learning based on performance data and a disciplined approach to content selection and review.

Requirements

• Significant experience with short-form video content (e.g., TikTok, Instagram Reels).
• Ability to explain why specific short-form content performs well.
• Demonstrated experience as an editor, social media manager, or clipper for a creator with significant reach.
• Examples of previously selected moments that performed well, including performance metrics.
• Proficiency with Frame.io and ClickUp.
• Reliable daily overlap with Pacific Time.
• Willingness to provide direct and specific feedback.
• Ability to admit when previous selections were incorrect and adapt based on data.
• Comfort with watching and analyzing 8 hours of long-form content per week.
• Understanding that this role is for picking and reviewing, not editing.

Responsibilities

• Watch long-form content (e.g., Johnny Chang's streams) to identify 8-12 "clip worthy" moments per stream.
• Tag selected moments with timestamps and topic tags for pattern analysis.
• Review all edited clips before they are posted, providing specific feedback for revisions.
• Track the performance of selected clips based on reach, hook, and watch duration.
• Adjust clip selection strategy based on performance data and identified patterns.
• Ensure the clip queue is consistently managed and that edits are reviewed promptly.
• Maintain a high standard of post-publish quality by ensuring all reviewed edits meet requirements.
